State Senate hits dead end for funding roads

A proposed multi billion dollar transportation bill died in a senate finance committee on Tuesday in Denver. The bill had bipartisan support from many lawmakers who wanted to see it put on the ballot come November.
“It doesn’t take a genius to recognize that when you’re stuck in traffic for 45 minutes to an hour, when your 20 minute commute has been extended to an hour-and-a-half commute, or when your having to take your car in for very expensive repairs because of potholes that exist, that we have a problem and its pretty dire,” said State Senator Rachel Zenzinger, (D)-District 19.
